He started his business in Atlantic, Iowa in 1988, and has built 30 plus new houses and two duplex condominiums,with the first house being built in 1991. Numerous remodels and commercial projects, most notably the carpentry work on the Cass County Community Building, the interior remodel of the Atlantic RR Depot, and the remodel of the addition to the Atlantic Armory. Marty also was involved in building the AmericInn Motel in Elk Horn, Iowa
